How do I clean gemstone jewelry?

The best way to revive gemstone jewelry is simple — a bowl of water with a few drops of mild dish detergent. Soak * your gemstone jewelry in warm, soapy water and then use a Q-tip or soft toothbrush to gently scrub behind the stone where dust and dirt can collect. Rinse and pat dry with a soft cloth.

* Soft, porous gemstones — pearl, coral, turquoise, howlite, or amber — should never be soaked. Simply wipe these down with a clean, wet cloth.

Keep in mind that Ethiopian opals are hydrophane, meaning that they absorb water. When this happens, they may lose their color and appear more yellow or translucent—but don't be alarmed! This is only temporary as their color-play returns after air-drying. Always allow to air-dry, *never* apply heat!

When can I expect my order?

Please allow one to three business days to process your order. * Orders received after 5PM PT will be processed the following business day. We do not ship on U.S. holidays.

Once processed, orders typically arrive within (7) business days. If there is a delay in your order, please check the tracking information provided within your order confirmation email. We are not responsible for carrier delays. We ship via USPS and offer free First Class shipping for all orders. 2-Day Priority shipping is available for $15.00.

What is your return policy?

We are happy to work with you in order to accommodate Returns and Exchanges. In order to be eligible for a refund, please be sure to contact us within (7) days of receiving your shipment and have the item(s) returned to La Tiendita Design within (14) days of receiving your Return Shipping Label. Unworn, non-damaged item(s) will be eligible for a full refund. La Tiendita is not responsible for Return shipping fees.

Do you ship outside of the US?

For customers outside of the US, we have affordable shipping options available via our Etsy storefront! Etsy has teamed with Asendia to create Global Postal Shipping, an international shipping option that uses First Class International Parcel and other services to allow La Tiendita to reach customers all over the world!
